Once in a while
I wish for a smile
to shine down upon me
and sunburn my head.
At least once a day,
I’m carried away
to fight against violence
and worship the dead.
As I float the foggy river,
searching stupidly for silver,
I cannot help but wonder
If I’ll ever find my way,
So I sit and stare at silence
as I combat careless violence
and I carefully consider
if I might have found my way.
Now every now and then,
as I’m fighting with a friend,
we can find each other’s flaws
and we wash our sins away,
Then we sit and stare at flowers
for a hundred countless hours,
and we find inside some insight
where there’s nothing else to say.
Now the river’s still quite hazy,
and I know I might be crazy,
but I smell the scent of silver
and I seem to know my way.
Now I wait and taste the laughter
like some Down Syndromic rafter
who has smelled the shiny silver
and is drooling like wet clay.
So some twenty times each year
this whole Hellstorm finally clears
and through all the cloudy chaos,
I find something new to say.
So then here is my announcement.
It is time for the commencement
of my journey, and I’m happy
that I’ve finally found my way.
