Lifepoems
|
Inhibitions, wrong decisions,
Made to break the mold.
The guilt directs, as thought connects,
Reflection in the cold.
A deeper cause, tends to pause,
And, masquerades as truth.
The beaten tide, now resides,
In the House of Ruth.
Deep respect, takes neglect,
And, puts it in a drawer.
But, its always found, when joy's around,
To keep you on the floor.
So, thoughts escape, to pillage and rape,
But, It's really not your fault.
Control's an illusion, in life's confusion,
And, hope sits locked in the vault.

Very awesome poem
Deep respect, takes neglect,
And, puts it in a drawer.
But, its always found, when joy's around,
To keep you on the floor.
I love this stanza- always someone or something around to try and keep you in your place. Just when you thought it was safe. Truly wonderful write- not crazy about the title though! |

i loved your poem; its very true in some aspects.
Control's an illusion, in life's confusion,
And, hope sits locked in the vault.
