Quietly and breathlessly, our searching lips meet
The inner urgency and love's necessity betrayed
Gentle, tender caresses define our forms
The entwine of bodies and emotions displayed
Darkly, sweetly we come to each other
Anticipation is the call we now heed
Softly, exigently we accept the other
With eyes closed and arms open, we meld
Lightly, lovingly, our hearts soar
The wordless glances describe our tryst
Relentless, we press against the clock
Two become one in ebon mist
Gradually, totally we surrender
So completely the universe disappears
Sadly, the dreams replaced and the real returns
Once again, in the harsh glare of life
