Never too far away

Topic: SadPoetry

I remember it like it was yesterday,
Everything was going well,
Untill my mom got a phone call,
Saying that my great aunt had died,
As soon as I heard the news,
I broke down into tears,
And I felt like I couldn't move,
Because the news was just too sad,
My mom reached out her hands to me,
And we cried on each other's shoulder,
I didn't want to believe what was said,
But you were gone and I,
Felt like I lost another best friend of mine,
Today I cried even more because you,
Are not here and I never got to say goodbye,
To you and that made me sad,
The depression will not go away,
And I want everyone to know,
That I loved her not because she was my great aunt,
But because she was a dear friend to me,
She was the only one who helped me through,
Times when I couldn't stand up for myself,
I know god has her in a safe place,
One day I will see her again,
Nothing could break the bond between us,
And nothing ever will,
Because I know in my heart that,
Your never too far away
