i want to start a new day
restart what has ended
we threw so much away
when we turned and just pretended
we both felt the pain
that eachohter can cause
somehow we both remained
for a while in this clause
we made eachother smile and cry
so many times before
but i ask only one question, why?
did we rip eachothers heart to the floor
lets just start a new day
forget of what occured in the past
just look the opposite way
to our future forcast
what it is no one knows
but i want to be friends
to get the know the real you
and not what others have said
the person i know you are
a kind, gentle soul
someone that is beautiful and sincere
that no one gives a chance to know
so lets start a new day
and re-seal our old rip
lets change our old ways
so we can start a friendship
