The Helplessness Within...

Contributed by LiquidChaos on Tuesday, 4th May 2004 @ 10:42:30 AM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

why has truth betrayed me?
where did we go astray?
we have lost the safe path
as we forge our own new way.
but he dosn't want to listen
to our long forgotten rhyme
its something that he can't percieve
strangled by his lack of time
he cant let go of the concept
that there must be something more
but he cant accept the truth
for he has shut the door
so he locks himself away
in his room for endless hours
he lies awake and motionless
blinded by his lack of power
to fight the "common knowlidge"
that in death there is escape
he slowly spins out of control
his rationality is fake.

he screams for someone

to lock him up
burn away his skin
slice him open
reveal the helplessness within
show him the light
give him a sign
he can't fathom the lies
there is nothing for him to find.

so slit his throat
show him he's NOTHING
he can't know of our scheme
to destroy him
as we kill him with a diet of lies.

I really liked this, I could relate to it a lot, I'm sorry about your saddness though, I know what that's like.
