Nobody’s looking
Nobody sees what’s happening
Turn your back and walk away
Strike a match to light your way
Burn it down and remain
To watch it all fall to ashes
I love the smell of gasoline
As much as this chemical dream
Come true with burning memories
Engulfed in flames
My tears drench stray embers
I remember your face
And exactly why I decided to torch this place
Makes me so sad to think,
The simple solutions are temporary
I guess I’ll have to use my creativity
And find another way
Another fleeting fix…
… One more frozen memory
