There was a lady...
Who's now gone from this life... but not forgotten...
She would have loved ya...
Each and every one...
All my "adopted" nieces and nephews
She had a love for kids... from all walks of life...
Not just her own three...
But also... all those... us kids would drag home...
Yepperz... she would have loved you all
There's no doubt...
As her own...
Not only her daughters... but her granddaughters... too
Not only her sons... but her grandsons... too
'Cause she loved all creatures great and small
You see... none were excluded from her family...
And none were shunned...
And this trait... well... I think... she's passed it on...
To me... the writer of this poem
I love ya all... there's no doubt...
No matter your background... or where you're from
You have become my "adopted" nieces and nephews for life... one and all
But remember...
There was a lady...
Who's now gone from this life... but not forgotten...
She would have loved ya...
Each and every one...
All my "adopted" nieces and nephews
She had a love for kids... from all walks of life...
Not just her own three...
But also... all those... us kids would drag home...
There was a lady... she was my mom...
Her name was Kathleen Belle...
Otherwise... known as Mama Kate...
There was a lady... she was my mom...

Donna, you were so lucky to have a Mom like that. I do too. She always accepted any of the kids we brought home and all the stray animals too, lol. Fed them, nurtured them, loved them like her own. It takes a special person to have all that love within. Kiddo, we were blessed.
Hugs,
