A small leaf is dropped off a big boat in the middle of the Pacific
It tries and tries to get to shore
Every wave it gets closer
But things stop it
Fishing boats
Jet skies
Storms
A small boat comes by one day
Picked up the leaf is torn
Ripped and dirty
Its hugged and driven to shore
Never letting go of it
The leaf grows into a tree (just imagine it)
The tree bares fruit and nourishes the people
The little leaf was very grateful.

this poem didnt really offer me anything creatively. i guess this is a very inspirational piece for idealism but i dont care for such pieces. your ending line i think is the best thing in this, because it seems so out of place and perplexing. also seems to tie this piece together. |
