Sally lived in a dark little cupboard box,
In her dream land, in her dark,
I think she thought she was in a Tardis,
Well now twenty years later she’s still last to come out last,
Maybe sally should be awake more,
Open those pretty grey skylights more often,
Cos she must be lonely on her own,
Maybe she’d lose her magic if she doesn’t stray,
Still, the sunlight bleaching her face would make a change,
I remember watching her ten years ago when a boy kissed her,
How she hid up that oak tree past the purple sky where the White Mountains reside,
And she made up a story to mom about running through a stream of fountains,
I guess she was scared – well nothings changed,
Cos she’s running away from life ,
Hiding in her box forever more,
But there’s something so beautiful about her here,
I guess she was made to be this wonderful deer,
But I can’t accept that today.
