I've known you for so short a time
But it feels like so much longer
Who knew I could have such an amazing friend?
One of the few male influences in my life
I'd trust you with all I've got
That's how much you mean to me
I never thought I would say that
Least of all to you
But it's true
And I wanted to say
Thank you
Thank you for being there when I needed you most
Thank you for being the first one to make me laugh
When I was down
Thank you for being in my life
Thank you for all you've done
Thank you
Thank you for worrying about me
When others would not
Thank you for caring about me
When others forgot
Thank you for all that you have done
Thank you
For all the laughter
And even the tears
Yes it's true
I cried
Cried over you
But that's all in the past
Not in the present
And right now I don’t know
Don't know just how
How to say the things I want to
How to put these words
Thank you seems inadequate
It's been done before
But it's all that I can think of
So I will say
Time and time again
Thank you
For all the laughter

For being here
For being my friend
You don't realize
How much you mean to me
