Just let me be

Contributed by skinsfan on Saturday, 1st May 2004 @ 11:17:11 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

As I sit here,
drinking tea.
Why won't this fly,
just let me be.
With buzzing wings,
and little legs.
Just go away,
is all I beg.
I swing my hand,
to swat the fly.
And hit my wife,
when passing by.
She yells a bit,
then walks away.
You won't BELIEVE,
the things she'll say.
As I sit here,
drinking tea.
Why won't this fly,
just let me be.

I'll bet you'll have to get your own tea from now on - she' not gonna enter the 'war' zone! ;~>
I can feel your pain, though!!! Dang flys..(much stronger expletives are what I'd usually mutter when talking to those airborn nuisances but this is a family setting...)
great read!

Darned nuisances flies. we all know the feeling when they attack or what is worse when they settle on the sugar or the piece of bread and butter you are just going to put into your mouth. Mind you when swatting make sure there is no member of the family to get in the way. Great funny poem I like it
top marks

the only explanation i can see,
Maybe you have sugar in your tea?
rid yourself of foodstuffs sweet,
Your wife can now stay on her feet!
for there's no need now, to swing your hand,
and lose your wife and wedding band!

A good humerous poem great stuff.
