Take a bow

Mama never taught her how to be a lady
If Daddy were here it would be different. Maybe
She never learned right from wrong
Lonely girl found her love in a song
She spoke to herself day after day
No one wanted to hear what she had to say
Even Mama thought she wasn't smart
But she had a gift from the start
Lonely girl, sing and dance for me
I know how it makes you feel free
Your singing is better everyday
Your dancing says things words cannot say
Lonely girl, take a bow
Show everyone what you can do now
We all see behind her lonely face
Her soul is full of rhythm and grace
