Rain...

Outside the comforting shelter of my home
The rain falls down and quenches the thirst of our earth.
Silent, streaming, though it goes unseen
Like a cloak of water, a sheet or a veil
Hiding the world from it's own haggard reflection
I think to myself
As this wet blanket wraps itself around my shoulders,
What is the source of my dear's very breath?
Who could mother someone with such beauty, breathtaking beauty,
Yet with the serenity of a thousand sun sets?
Are these the tears that we weep,
Coming back to haunt and drown us?
Or perhaps they are simply just something to water our crops,
To give us life,
While taking life from themselves.
And then, perhaps as mentioned before,
They are one.
Perhaps she is something beyond our petty understandings.
Perhaps her beauty stretches to the far reaches of our souls, of our minds,
In a hypnotic way that we fail to notice.
And once more, perhaps she is simply a programmed part of our spirits,
Just being set free at the moment we open our minds and take a look at the world around us.
No matter what this entity is,
Whether spiritual,
Or natural,
She sure is radiant...
