Hoping for home

she always wanted be away
sometimes even alone
and everytime she was away
she'd always miss her home
her dreams were to travel
to see the world in all its beauty
to let mysteries unravel
always wanting to be free
but there was something left out
a feeling that made her draw a tear
a lost feeling of doubt
a little bit of fear
she missed her bedroom
where she'd dream all night
sometimes waking up to watch the moon
and the stars in the moonlight
she missed the walls
once feeling trapped by them
and all those phone calls
that caused her mayhem
the most she missed was the dinner table
where her family would sit
she knew she was never thankful
that she can admit
but she's grown up now
missing her home
she wants to go back somehow
not wanting to be alone
