someone closed the door in my face
and i cannot open it again
emtional exuberance overwhelms me
the pain feels like flames
electricity between us cannot be denied
so why even try
playing games i'm sure not to win
this is where the heartache truly begins
i'm out in the cold
and i lost my home
you left me with a hole
only you could fill back up
i miss your arms wrapped around me like a loving cocoon
your seductive voice...that leaves me no choice
your smile that melts my heart
your scent...masculine scent on your pillow
how deeply i breathe in your essence
the way you taste like an ocean
warm salty waves envelop me
your handsome face smiling down on me
so many miles are between us
how my heart cries when we're apart
my love for you has always been stronger
even...
even from the start.
