the song that has no name

Contributed by Cancer on Friday, 30th April 2004 @ 06:08:16 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

i've screamed
until my heart's run dry
drank your apathy
each time i'd die
and all of this has brought me
twice of what i had
NOTHING
i swam in pools
of my own blood
i opened up
i gave you love
and all you ever give to me
is what i have
NOTHING

I CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE
(so much you give-so much i have
so much ***** nothing)
WHAT MORE CAN I DO?
(everything just fades away
and i am left with nothing)
BEYOND ALL HOPE I LIE
(i reach for help-i reach for you
and all i find is nothing)
I WON'T LET YOU WIN
(you can't take anything from me
cuz all i have is...)

so i give up
i walk away
your face still floating
in the grey
cloud of thought
my mind's become
beneath the pain
i'm growing numb
growing old
and falling fast
SURELY THIS HELL CANNOT LAST

I'VE RUN SO FAR FROM YOU
(but still you chase-won't go away
in my head you're there everyday)
I CANNOT ESCAPE
(the memories-the "meant-to-be's"
your grinning death still haunting me)
YOU'RE EVERYWHERE I GO
(each tombstone is a granite breast
the rotting dead belch forth your scent)
I'M LOSING MY MIND
(i'm only human-let me go
jesus christ, just let me go)

(pacing
as my mind is racing
replaying moments filled with you
crying
though it feels like dying
every second without you
screaming
through the endless dreaming
reality gave up on me
and only when
i beg for death
is the answer revealed to me)

back to your grave
just like the slave
you've made of me
effortlessly
beneath you lie
dress still hiked high
a sight for my
sore tear-streaked eyes
i take you in my arms again
i swear i'll never leave again
i touch you in that "special place"
AND LICK THE MAGGOTS OFF YOUR FACE

MY WRISTS BLEEDING NOW
(finally found a way to stay
with you forever as my veins sever)
IN YOUR GRAVE WE LIE
(hand in hand, i smile at you
as ever fantasy comes true)
LET THE RAIN FALL DOWN
(and fill the hole and drown us in
the love that we have found again)
BEHIND THE VEIL OF DEATH
(love is made-bodies entwine
as your dead heart melts into mine)

Licking the maggots off someones face?

That is repulsive and gross.

This poem is creepy.

This is nothing short of remarkable. Reaching into the very depths of blackness, and pulling out this insidious, twisted work of art. I am speechless.

Truly,
-V.S.
