I try and try
I'll always be wrong
What I should be...
Your list stretches long.
I fear that I'm trapped
In a battle; I'll die.
I strive to please you,
So tragically I try.
You dream of me
That which I cannot
Ever achieve
Or ever be taught.
What do you want?
What else can I give?
You won't be pleased
As long as I live.
If only I knew
What would satisfy you
I'd do it in haste.
Would your love then be true?
You reign over me.
All I want is your love,
But that you won't give,
I am never enough.

I can feel the frustration in this one. Been there, felt that. You have a way with words that explains emotion excellently.

| I am bout to sound like Chels' echo... been there done that! I know EXACTLY how that feels. It is one of the WORST feelings in the world, isn't it? I actually was thining of that same situation when I was working today, of myself and my ex and how he tried to make me into something I didn't want to be. Thankfully now I take comfort I am only trying to live by God's standard and not by another's vision of me. God bless |
