This rain that touches plains and field is kind;
it makes all living greens to thrive and grow.
Abiding creatures wait in homes, don't mind;
a little wetness cleans their trails some know.
Fresh rain brings sweet aroma, sky's aglow;
spring flowers surely glisten, lives abound.
Clouds gray then seen, were laid afore set low;
thus showers keep our feathered tribes aground.
Half-circle bow, your colors' bright around;
such beauty holds our eyes upon your sight.
Your perfect shape and hues, how they astound;
all so soon they now take themselves to flight.
Cool rain, such benediction, soften heat;
parched weary glebe applauds your noble feat!
