At the end of the night
What did you take from the day
Did it cross your mind
How easy it would be
To take my heart away
Please don't set the sun on us
Before you try raising it first
When you woke up this morning
Did you arise with the feeling
That you gave it your all the night before
Without even trying
Or crying out screaming
Or like me you're dying
Please don't set the sun on us
Before you trying raising it first
Next time I'll try
Weather permitting
I will wait in the rain for you
Patiently waiting
Just for you
I'll stand at your doorstep
Anxiously waiting
For you to open your door
So I can stop anticipating
That you'll let me in
So I can stop debating
With myself
Please don't let the sun set on us yet
Before you try raising it first
Did I shoot too high
And land face first at your feet
Was I a fool to believe
But please..
Please don't set the sun on us
Before you trying raising it first
Please have in me a little trust
I promise I won't be your worst
