A burning desire
revealing all my lies
an insane guilty conscience
rushing my demise
What little strength i have is taken
by you with such a force
Ive let you run my life the way you wish
thanks to you its taken its course
Looking you in the eyes
as fear is no longer concealed
the violent nature evolves
as my innocence,you steal
Determination is abolished
with one grab of a hand
a fall within seconds
after getting up to stand
My voice loses its way
trapped within my soul
Insanity, cant seem to find an escape
as it continues to eat me whole
The silence deep down,festering
a cycle of hate its started to make
the inner person that i once was
is what its begun to take
Silent self destruction
as the lies eat away
eat away at my mind
I'll one day make you pay
Im left here once again
asking myself why?
these decietful ways of yours
make me want to end this life
To you this seems like one sick game
to me its very real
a game that will drive me to my grave
i hold bruises that won't heal
Ive lost focus on alot of things
my focus i lose when tears i cry
These hidden truths have to stay inside
up until the day I die.

I felt that way for a long time... If I could I would send you a flower and tell you that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I feel sadness, but when I hear it in songs and poetry, it actually helps me because I have been sad for many years. Thank you for posting your poem--- because I no longer think that you are silent. You spoke to me, and I have felt that way, too. |
