Kindly End This

Topic: LostLove

If I could find a place where truth would echo
I would stand there and ask you,
Why?
Why after all that we have been through,
You would take what I thought was endless,
And kindly say…
"Let’s end this."

I’d stand there,
With endless memories of standing…
Breathless.
Breathless at the sight of your beauty
That would take me to endless places.
Places so calm and sweet,
Sweeter than the sweetest dream a dreamer can ever dream
when he dreams of eternal happiness with the one he cares for…
Dearly.

Clearly I was at this place,
Where happiness was the sight of your face.
But it was only merely,
That I walked this place…
Far more shorter than I longed for,
Far more shorter than I hoped was…
Endless.
When you kindly said…
"Let’s end this."

I’d stand there crushed by what felt like a million bricks,
Sticks and stones,
Punches and kicks.
And in that spot where truth would echo
I would cry enough to fill a meadow.
And when that meadow finally fills,
My last tear drop…
Would echo.
Sounding like a thousand raindrops.

But still…
The meadow remains,
Still.
My heart
Like a meadow shaped by the love you gave,
Beats…
But beats
Still.

I want to run !
I need to run !
But where do I run to?
The only place
I knew was safe,
Was when I was with you.
With you I felt like a meadow
Calm, sweet, and never mellow.
But now…
I’m forever,
Mellow.

I’m drowning in my own tear filled meadow,
Drowning, struggling,
Kicking and punching.
Holding on…
Holding on…
Holding on…
My thoughts running wildly,
Endless,
Because you kindly said,
"Let’s end this."

But I’m holding on,
Holding on to a little hope called love.
My life depends on love,
Our love.
Our love which I thought was
Endless.
It is the only thing that can...
Kindly end this.
Kindly end this.
Kindly end this.
