My Mothers Hands

Contributed by Nani on Wednesday, 2nd October 2002 @ 05:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

Each line is a piece of Her Life, each Scar like the Broken Wings of a Dove, is Evidence of the Suffering and the Pain of the many Wars She has Fought.
They have Carried the Joys of her Life, they have Dried the Tears in her Eyes when to the things She's Loved, She's had to say Goodbye.
They have removed the Obstacles that may have Stood in Her way, and Embraced the Happy Momments that in Her Heart came to Stay.
But now they just simply reflect Old Age and Pain, while they Lay on Her Lap, without Beauty, without Strength.
I look at My hands and long to see the resemblance, for I too want My Hands to Bear the Scars of My Journey, Like the Hands Of My Mother, I want them to TELL MY STORY.
