A life marred by sin and shame
You've been through so much pain
Ensnared in the violence of a world gone mad
Crying out for one last chance
To live the life... you've always dreamed
And thought was impossible... it seemed
Entangled in a web of deceit
Struggling to find hope in defeat
With unforgiveness... bitterness and resentment on every side
Satan's got a foothold on your heart tonight
Stopping the Lord's blessings before they start
You now begin that... long... long walk
It's a long walk... a long walk home
From the place you started from to where you want to be
It's a long walk... a long walk home...
Through this journey called life... you see
The path chosen... you've never seen before
Unlike the rest... faded... it's not or well worn
No more... you roam on your long walk... back to the Lord
You're long walk home...
