My Hatred, My Epiphany

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My Hatred, My Epiphany

Most of my feelings
Are cut short
I'm advised
And I get angered
Without reprise

I hate my life
I hate everything
And I can't get away
From it all, at all
And I wish that I didn't feel
Surrounded by oppression
Feeling aggression
And wanting to hurt others
For the sake of myself
And to cause pain
To those who inflict it so well

I can't take these feelings
They use me up
And take me down
And my state of mind
Is down and out
And my heart is so depressed
That my mind must follow
Then my entire existence
Doesn't matter

I tried to be the best
And I turned into the worst
And I try to go unnoticed
But the opposite occurs
And I'm left in the dust

And opposites attract
And the similar divide
And I must be the same
As my worst enemy
Or we would have attracted
My epiphany

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
