Watching Them Destroy Themselves

Contributed by pyrofungus on Thursday, 29th April 2004 @ 07:07:03 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Floating above the clouds
Watching the world
Watching it carefully
Each little precious second
That someone can waste
Is dead
They’ve all passed
Only lost souls emerge
Walking around like zombies
Hungry for life
Any life
All they find are animals
Taking over their bodies
Becoming one
What has become of this world?
It ended one day
One sad day, indeed
All of them were killed by the unknown
They rotted away their bodies
So old
So sad
So hurt
So mad at themselves
All of that was what caused it
Their hate, for themselves
Their hate, for each other
That all made them die away
Their souls are in need
They want to start over
They can’t
They won’t
The species, it died out
What’s left is the animals
That they will become………
I watched it happen
I watched it all
It was horrible
I pity their lives
Their souls
Their poor desperate souls……
