eyes shut in the darkness
can't but barely whisper
it's obvious that i dont know where this is
i think of throwing up
but then i remember this is because i need to start growing up
lovin you used to be the reason to breath
but now i dont know
this is last time i don't ask
nothing has an effect
is he just looking for sex
this aching inside wont leave me alone
still there's hours before he's home
should i say things in person or on the phone
i just want to know his past
i probably never should have looked
undid the glove compartment hook
he sold the car away to us
he never looked to see what he left behind
i never thought this is what i would find.
you didnt know me back then, i know
this car was never when you were with me
but that's what is itching inside you see...
your 5 and a half years older
and that difference isn't going to fade and smolder
i'm lost in sleep and thought
of the questions those controceptives brought
why should it matter? Why should i mind?
your not hers anymore... your mine....
just why cant i accept that...
