Lying in my cell, securely compact
My vision is clear, my mind is intact
I try to turn round, in my six by four
But the door above, nearly meets the floor
Darkness surrounds me, stale air in my lungs
As I scratch at the door, as though looking for rungs
My energy is drained, as my nails break away
I listen to the voices, trying to hear what they say
The air's getting heavy, the heat's getting stronger
I cannot go on, not any longer
Then a faint sound, of earth on the door
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, may he rest, forever more
