Dream
A piece of fallen snow
A perfect star
Thousands
Swirling in the gentle breeze
Soft white blanket reflects an eerie glow
Mirrors the pink sky
Stillness
Complete
Settled
So not to disturb the sheer, smooth white
Night sleeps on the verge of dawn.
Morning breaks the crisp, colorless world
Into a slushy grey.
Miniscule ice castles
Glistening with pristine perfection,
Demolished by dark, burning rubber.
Children's cries,
No path unmarked,
Footsteps rip through the perfectly woven blanket.
A frozen kingdom lies sleeping
The remnents of a different world
Trapped forever in the distant night...
