A photo held in a tearful grasp
that second's history held with a gasp
capturing life's joyous smile
never knowing all the while
it's meaning is not to last
to be discarded just as fast
the only thing that now lingers
is this faded picture between my fingers.

I'm sorry to hear about this,hopefully you'll be feeling a little better.Yes,we never know what the futur has in store for us,but I strongly believe there is a reason for everything and every little experience teaches us something.I really enjoyed reading this,great job,

Sadly, love can take a deep bite out of us at times. These experiences make it hard to trust again, therefore love is pushed back on the shelf. Eventually we get lonely enough to try again.
I really enjoyed the structure of this work.
