~Just Another Nobody's Child~

Contributed by kidpoet_213 on Wednesday, 28th April 2004 @ 05:13:08 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

She's just a child of fifteen...
And feeling all alone... in this great big empty world
'Cause she's fallen on hard times... with all that she's been going through
A broken home... has forced her to have very little room to choose...
As her parents battle through a divorce
And she wonders where this will leave her in the course... of things in the end

She misses talking with her friends...
Those she's gotten "close" to...
But in the end... doesn't seem to wanna have anything to do with her ever again
It's a tragedy for her... come true

She's feels as though... she just another nobody's child
Just another soul... forced to wonder around through the wilds of this old world
Just livin' on the edge... wondering where she belongs...
'Cause everything in her life seems so tragically wrong
She's deemed herself... just another nobody's child

She just another child of divorce...
One who's being forced...
In the middle and in between of what is considered normal in life these days... it would seem
She just another sad statistic written down upon a page
In black and white...
What an outrage...!

She loves both parents... and wants to please them both... you see...
But it's an impossible thing to do... to make them both happy...
This is a sad fact... but true....
Now... she's livin' life in chaos...
In her chaotic world... of broken promises and empty dreams
And it's becomeing a living nightmare to her... it would seem

This is a sad fact... but true of our society...
We see it everywhere... in this old world today...
Anther lonely child of divorce...
Written down upon a page... just another sad statistic come of age
To become just another nobody's child...
Caught in between... all the fighting... and all the while it's deemed to be... called love... somehow...

She just a child of fifteen...
And feeling all alone... in this great big empty world
Another lonely child of divorce...
She's feels as though...
She just another nobody's child...

Excellent!!
You have a talent for what comes across to me as lyrics.
And I am sure of the untapped talent that is soon to shine..Keep writing..its a real pleasure to read.
Reading this made me think of Guns n Roses...and in my eyes...they are brilliant :)

I agree with Sharon - seemed like lyrics, though I thought maybe Arrowsmith. Either way, good job. Thanks

This is such a sad write. Children shouldn't be caught in the middle of a bitter divorce. My parents got divorced when I was 5 years of age and it tore me apart. I was too young to understand what was going on. This brought all the sad emotions back. *S* Cynthia

For someone who was never put through this, you seem to capture the emotion quite well. Yes, it is a shame that children have to go through divorce. Just another tragedy of today. Very good read. Thumps ; 0 )
