The end of the Paperclip vol.1

Contributed by alecfernadez on Wednesday, 28th April 2004 @ 12:31:15 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

The bullet passes through the back of the head,
Maroon paint and brain matter sprays the bed,
The gun lies alone slipping from lifeless hands,
Neglected corpse whom no-one understands,
Except for the witness of it all,
watched from the table,
Just by the wall,
A lonly figure shining in the light,
A paperclip that watched through the night

The paperclip watched this life come to an end,
Unable to speak, Unable to defend
It watched this life fall so drastically apart,
It watched the lifeless body,
Fall dead, doomed destroyed on the tarp

It watched girlfriend storm right out the house,
It watched every trauma, every beaten spouse,
But it dont speak, it only observed,
And every doubt was automatically confirmed
The paperclip saw the self destruction,
The paperclip saw every obstruction,
The paperclip saw this life come to an end,
And the paperclip was unable to defend,
The hurtiling bullet an ironic message to send,
To an un-moving object yet so filled with life,
Who knew the end was comming,
And was not suprised
When it died

CHILLING! Talk about putting an image in ones head. I have NEVER in my life thought of a paper clip seeing all. What an imagination you just blew me away.

I could stutter on or say WOW can you write.

I knew you could.........

Kie

Absolutely brilliant! Kie served you well. I never in a million years would have ever come up with this imagery. This is an amazing piece of work, Alec. Keep the pen flowing.
