i often want to walk down that street,
and maybe see you there,
i will see you and you will see me,
and we'll both stop in our tracks,
our eyes will be forced from the ground,
until my gaze will reach your face,
and then it will touch your eyes,
and we will think of the time that has past, since i last walked down that street,

you'll know as well as me,
the damage that has been caused,
since last i took this stride,
and followed that same old path,
its calling me, just as you were,
because at last i could not cope,
you knew this as you had before,
only this time so did i,
i was not that child you had peversed,
or taken under your wing,
i am not that little girl you destroyed,
and left dying in that bed,

so i often want to walk down that street,
and maybe see you there,
ill stop and stare and my eyes will fill up with tears and i will drop to my knees.
you've had me, you've got me,
but screaming-its not for long; its over now,
i have said what's been said and ill never walk down that street again.
