In My Eyes
In my eyes the world is an illusion,
Distorting the mind to outright confusion,
In my eyes freedom isn’t free,
We’re fighting a war that has no guarantee,
In my painful eyes I see death,
Death of a country at its last breath,
We have a president, who says he cares,
But if he cared, not on soul would be on welfare,
Not a mouth would be left empty,
Every poor man would have plenty,
Am I blind or have I been deceived?
We’re all conformed to a society that is falsely perceived,
America is not letting freedom reign,
America is the singer, who never sings,
Not the home of the brave,
The home of the man, who is the governments slave,
My eyes have seen so much,
I see the homeless with nothing but prayers that keep them alive,
Waiting on spare change just to survive,
A man that never went to war pushing our men to fight,
See, I don’t comprehend how a man can stand and plight,
His faithfulness is of a man, who deceives his wife,
“Our president lo and behold
Please forgive me if I seem bold,
But this man laughs at the soldiers whose backs are scold,
I can’t apologize for my freedom of speech,
I’m just speaking of the man, who really should have been impeached,
The real war is the war with what we’ve become,
America’s state of mind is equivalent to one of a slum,
America has too much pride,
We are not God,
We can not decide whether or not one man stays alive,
How can we judge another country when we are so chaotic with our own ways?
In my eyes as they gaze,
I see mothers receiving folded flags with purple & broken hearts,
I see sons and daughters with their hopes and dreams torn apart,
Yet he sends more,
More to die for a country that has done little to none for them,
Yet this man thinks that we could not condemn,
Spoken like words of a true dic…….tator,
But do not be fooled for I’ am not a traitor,
I’ am simply just a woman with views,
Views of a man, whose position is abused,
It’s about time somebody was spoken and heard,
So I have come to spread the word,
In my eyes I have seen this,
What do your eyes reminisce,
Tiffani Ann Hendrie

My eyes see the same thing as you, just about. Welcome to YPDC. If you're planning on preaching to a widespread audience here, you'll find that not many of the six-odd thousand likes reading political stuff. Apart from me. And Steeleyes, and a few others. This will be reflected in the amount of reads and comments you get, unless of course, it is extremely controversial, which I would be of a mind to listen to.
I like controversy.
So - anyway, good rage. I like to hear a voice speak out from the crowd.
Keep writing. |

I see what you see.
If only more people did and acted [thenextwar.blogspot.com] on what they saw.
I just worry that my brother's future child's children may be soliders in some sort of revolution:( |
