In me……. its you

On the outside
You see this girl
That wants to be everything

look deeper

Surround yourself
In me

you’ll see this darkness

My soul.
Go even deeper than that.
Stop only when I become to much
the deepest of blacks
silence
hear ME!
Listen to me

Can you hear my quiet cries
what my soul is screaming
my gentle sins
Breaking through me

listen

Learn me
the real me.
Close your eyes and reach for me
Feel for me .
Keep on reaching
till there is nothing there to reach for
Just an empty space
something will be missing

But you won’t know what it is

And I will not tell you

And I’ll look at your reflection

In my lingering tears

That have streamed down my face

And pooled at my feet
touch my face with your soft hands

And maybe

Just maybe
You’ll come to understand
then your tears will mingle with mine

And you will know

And I will know
You went deeper.....
And found yourself
Inside

My soul
