rainie roo

Contributed by ladyfawn on Wednesday, 28th April 2004 @ 02:01:38 AM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

the room was rather dull; then in came
the sunshine
and along with it her laughter,
it sounded so sublime,
a most beautiful child, she was almost two
she ran to and fro;
she had so much to do,
her shoe came undone, her daddy had much fun,
trying to get rainie to sit,
at last the squirming she quit,
when i asked her her name,
she said wainie woo,
i looked at her mother,
and then to her father; who
was picking up pieces of his cell phone,
and i had to laugh because i'm sure
she was more the character at home!
i said what a pretty name and
beautiful young lady you are,
and gave her my keychain bear-
which straightaway flew in the air,
i asked if that was truly her name, it was so lovely
her with her little fru-frus in her hair
her mother answered a quick yes,
oh, this child was such a beauty faire!
her father cleaned up a paper mess,
there was hardly time to talk;
little girl holding the room captive,
not a teeny minute did she stop moving,
for little rainie roo was quite active!

All children are beautiful treasures. They hold the hope inside them for our world to continue. I always wanted a little girl but was so blessed with boys. Even all the grandchildren are boys. Probably best as that is all I know about. I drowned in testosterone many years ago!!!!!!! lol

Hugs,
Rita

Cute little poem that makes me laugh every other stanza. I always look at your titles and wonder what they mean, once I really get into it and read the poem I understand and I love the way you make me wonder. NEVER STOP!!!

Kisses,
