If I Could Run

If I could run
I would never stop
I’d leave this moment
And run anywhere
Away from here
And this place would be
Far greater and grander
Than here in this second
Where nothing matters
I would run so far
That I would never return
For the magnitude
Of the space between
Would keep me from coming back
To these people,
This place,
Both so empty
I want to run
Until my life is here
