Nothing More

Contributed by night_child on Tuesday, 27th April 2004 @ 06:04:40 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Surrounded by ice
The stabbing cold
Loss of breath

In my own sorrow
I have fallen

So long I was strong
Just teetering above the icy pit
Rock bottom

I had been broken
Slowly I had tried to rise
Bring my body off the floor
So close I was to being well
To finding myself again

But then I found a man
Who tried to take away the pain
He made everything seem alright
I thought he was the one

I fell for this man
But he trashed my broken heart
Saying he couldn't be with me
Not ever

And then I started to fall again
The ice comes closer
With every minute
The whole world a blurr
As I fall faster and faster

And then I hit
Hit the ice
The bottom

Nothing there to break my fall

Now I lay upon the cold
Not wanting to get up
I've lost my hope
To find his love

My heart can endure no more
Raw emotions have their hold on me
And nothing more

Tragic, and yet somthing this beautiful comes from it.
