A Swift and silent death
clutched you from this life
You didn't see it coming
No time to say good-bye
Could you feel your heart stop beating
Did you struggle for your breath
What would you have done different
If you knew it was your last
Were you deep inside a dream
Were you scared when you couldn't wake
were you begging for survival
Were you saddened by your fate
Did you holler out for me
in the middle of the night
What happened at that moment
Did you try to make it right
Will I ever really know
What you felt that inside
Will I ever understand
Why you had to die?

I've recently lost my nan, aged 78.

| Thanks for all the sympathetic replies. My sister died at the age of 19 from a heart attack. She had an eating disorder, sadly enough it was the end of her. However, I believe that death only makes us stronger. |
