Your spirit is finally free,
Away from all the pain,
The day you went up the stairway to heaven,
And through those pearly gates.
Although you are up in heaven,
I can feel your spirit around,
I can feel it in when I first wake up,
Until I shut my eyes.
I awake every single day,
And wait for your spirit to come down,
Knowing that you are out there waiting,
To comfort and ease my pain.
I know in many many years,
I will take the stairway up to heaven,
And walk through the pearly gates,
And see you standing there,
Waiting for me like always
