Little Red Robin

Contributed by JennyFruFru on Monday, 26th April 2004 @ 09:52:27 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

I saw a little robin fly high against the sky
it soared above the mountains and touch the clouds up high

It brought songs of splendid memories and springtime melodies
It took away our sorrows and reminded me of thee

Its wings had set a flutter like a beating heart
It danced around so freely that I hope we'd never part

The trees are filled with flowers that allow the bird to nest
And bring about the little ones to sing with all the rest

The little ones keep chirpin until spring is in full bloom
Leaving all the winter days behind with all the gloom....

This is beautiful, Jenn. I love sunshiny anything. Happy happy is my motto. Arden just made me write a dark poem, can you believe that???? Give me a chirping robin over a death scythe anytime. This really is so delightful. Lady after my own heart.

Hugs.
Rita

Wonderful and sweet...
I love robins, it's such a shame they only stay in the Netherlands during winter and fly to Russia as soon as spring begins...

If there is anything more beautiful to write about than nature I do NOT want to know. Every spring I wait eagerly to see a robins fat breast. Because I know when I see a little chubby robin that spring time and babies are right around the corner. What a wondrous poem you have written.
