Lost Battle

Lost Battle

For every moment
Spent is wasted
Every wasted moment
Is hated
And you wonder why
You hate so much
And you can't look at yourself
And I wonder too
Why I'm here myself

But I never knew
That this feeling
Would take over me
As it took over you
It's like a disease
Attacking everything
And that disease
Is killing every part of me
Slowly till it does the deed
Of killing me and getting victory
Within me is slowly dying
As my outside is fighting
But my skin is frail
And is attacked and won
And my battle is lost

And I can't surrender myself
Without costing others
But my surrender to death
Was taken
And I couldn't stop it
And my life ends
With one moment wasted

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
