Morning Thoughts

Contributed by jaeann on Monday, 26th April 2004 @ 02:43:45 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

resting in the bath listening to a girl named stone
relishing in my few restless moments alone
wishing to free my mind and just blend
but times like these the masters always send
memories from some long ago past
while flickering shadows on the wall are cast
remembering hotel california in the sun
thinking that once i grew up my life would be fun
trying not to dwell and simply learn
the words sometimes flow like a broken cistern
transferring the pain into prose
that's all i've ever known i suppose
got me through the roughest of times
leaves me be when life is sublime
anguish and sorrow may be a curse
but atleast i never need to rehearse
i've had my gifts.....my days of pride
stolen moments....reasons to hide
lost a lot but through it all
had the power to let my tears fall
having that release saves my sanity
humbled me and straightened my vanity
be it inspiration or memory
past life vision or traumatic imagery
it's the only way i can truly tell
how i've made it back from hell

I have felt the very same way. Ms. Stone certainly does have a reflective quality about her music, doesn't she. Thank you for sharing.

Another wonderful poem Jaymee.......and your tears have brought you back again!
I'm so happy to see you write your wonderful prose, it's always been very comforting to me, 'cause........I do the same thing, but can't explain it as well you do!
Scientists say that sad tears are different in content than just tears you drop when peeling onions.........Maybe tears truly do you empty you soul of sadness like a nice refreshing rain.
Lovely Jaymee
