Bleeding Honesty

Contributed by jaeann on Monday, 26th April 2004 @ 02:00:01 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

loving you is much harder
right in front of my face
i'm tired of being the one to barter
and i'm weary of the chase

you make all your promises
and your was gonna do's
you were gonna say this
you were thinking of doing that too

i've always been never enough
of this, i have lived with
changed myself, primped and puffed
i'm living proof of most mens' myths

what more could i do for you
there isn't anything i haven't given
how many times have i said we're through
versus how many times have you kept hidden

my heart is oh so aching
and my soul is very scared
there's way too much staking
and so much left to bare

i need you now more than ever
yet i'm ready to let go
i'm not intimating a sever
we just need a new path to row

you're not sure of what you want from me
i'm not certain if you ever did
you need some space to really see
the angry you must adieu his bid

i'm drowning in your presence
and i'm hidden on your shelf
your princess is in her forest, hence
sheltered within herself

Beautiful. Strong and devoting, yet you stand your ground, going not forward nor back. God bless you and good wishes.

Jaymee you've really been posting since I was away.......and this poem is fantastic....I really enjoyed it in every way!
I remember a time in my life when I asked myself the same quetions...."What do you want from me?" I found out he himself didn't even know.....so I did what I wanted to do, and left him adieu!
I hide my heart forever over a year.......and finally I said, "Being Bleeding Honest" doesn't even touch you!
What a marvelously written poem........you will know what to do......or is this from your past?
love you little Pear Lady
