I must admit, I do enjoy
To sit down with a pen and toy
With words and letters tumbled round
Arranged to make a pleasant sound
Ideas and memories running thick
To get them rhyming is the obvious trick
The pen moves quick and the ink will flow
But never in the places you want it to go
When you read your rhyme after some time spent
It’s nice if it says what you actually meant
If it says something else, then don’t give up hope
Pick up your pen and continue to grope
