Lament

We walked into despair
You and I...
Concrete meets.
These stone walls
Surround us,
No return.
You have no idea
How the ideas shifted
Between bricks and mortar
And cracked
Without a murmur
Or fear of being discovered.
We just met it dead on,
Lacking knowledge,
Careless, Wreckless.
Bruised heads,
Broken hearts,
You and I
Lament.

Well written poem I can sympathise with such feelings although I am fortunate enough to have lovely wife and a good marriage.

This is excellent. I've got nothing on you. A well-crafted work.

It's easy to live the feeling of this poem--this seems a particularly well articulated work. |
