~? Lost ?~

Contributed by Cynthia on Monday, 26th April 2004 @ 09:01:41 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

She runs through the
dark depths of the woods,
she doesn't know
what she runs from.

Is there someting chasing her?

Is she afraid to be alone?

Is she running away from life itself?

What is it she runs from?

She is lost,
she stops to look around....
there's nothing,
but dead silence.

Where is she headed?

She doesn't know.

The mist settles in the
depths of darkness,
she hears noises.

Where are they coming from?

She looks....
but sees nothing.

She is lost to the night,
she runs....
there is nowhere to hide,
the darkness scares her.

There is no light
from the moon
to help guide her way,
the wind howls
through the trees.

She stops....
her heart beats
hard and fast,
as she looks around
she realises she's lost.

Lost to the darkness
of the woods forever.

Wonderful poem...sometimes being lost is scared enough on its own... Especially when you're on the run for an unknown enemy..and yes, I can so imagine why Arden inspired you..:-)

awesome. very creepy and also, at the same time heart-wrenching. because sometimes, even if we arent truely running from some unknown in the woods, we do run from life itself. keep it up!

Now she is pulling you into her dark world, lol. This is good. If anyone writes dark they should fashion it after Arden. She is one of the best here. Good work, Cynthia, you learn well from the dark child.

LOL
Rita
