Just as I got used to you being out of my life
Cut out by my hand with surgical knife
Back with me again like a comfortable trainer
Although this time I am much, much saner
I have missed you so much over these past few months
The sorrow and guilt, gnawing at me from within
The trust we had, so nearly did die
Like moths to the light we must surely fly
Simple things I craved, and missed so much
your smile, your eyes, and your loving touch
but soaring above all these mortal clues
the connection we have, too precious to lose
The kiss as we looked each into the other
Tongues gently caressing each after one another
Both of our bodies urgently pressing
What we did next left nobody guessing
All our time too soon drifted away
You can’t help feeling, “is this a trap or a play
I wish I could lend you my open heart
And show I have no wish, to tear you apart
Wishing my time without you to go fast
So once again I may feel, touch unsurpassed
Resigned though I am to small pieces of you
I shall not keep you under my analytical review
