when he'd said he loved her
then not enough to marry her,
that's the day when some thing, died deep inside her heart,

now it wouldn't matter if
shiny brand new ring he gets,
after all the pretty words, cold feet are most absurd,

he said he clearly understood
she was his world, but his head wood,
that's the day when some thing, died deep inside her soul,

all at once love's happy things
then turned to boring sappy things,
fantasys that never will, happen to come true,
~*~
so now all life's pretty things
are now old dirty gritty things,
even the little winged wish, upped away and flew.

First off I love how the picture captures the poem so well. It was made to be put above it. This poem is so tragic, I love how your beautiful words flow to make the reader feel the emotions you put into it. Wonderful job.

Oh Nessa, this is so sad and I know how badly you hurt. Time will ease the pain but the memories don't leave, we both know that. But you will love again and next time they will love you enough to want you as their wife and forever. Men can be such jerks sometimes!!

awww.... mom, if I could wrap your heart in protective bandages, I swear I would.... Maybe healing bandages would be better...

first of all Michelle will take her big stick and whoop on the guy who hurt you so Ill hunt him to the ends of the earth, bad man bad bad bad!!
This brought tears to my eyes for I hate to see my friends hurting and specially someone with such a loving heart and everlasting loving soul. If you need me ever Im here...........

This was really sad to read...Knowing you are in pain,someone as sweet and as kind as you should not have to go through this.The verse "that's the day when some thing, died deep inside her heart"was so heartwrenching.I'm so sorry you had to go through this,please know I'm here for you sweetie,this was a beautiful poem.Hope you are feeling a little better.
