Standing on the
observation deck,
cool breeze blows
through my hair,
whilst I look
out over the ocean.
The waves wash up
along the desolate beach,
I see a fishing boat
heading out to check
the traps......
checking to see
what the fisher has
for today's catch.
The wind picks up
it gets cold,
the eyes get watery,
time to turn around
and go.

When I lived on the coast I would catch one of the ferrys and go up top to watch the dolphins race with the ferry and see the gulls as we would put into harbor on each side. All the seaside birds are amazing. Such hardy creatures. The harbor restaurants aren't bad either. (I must be hungry, lol)
